One thing you should keep in mind while you're shooting is that camera only captures a 2D image. Sometimes scenes like these stand out when we look at them with our eyes and see it in 3D, but in 2D it just looks flat and boring. One thing you could do is pick a dramatic angle, get close, and use a wide lens. Also selective focus will help.
